A winged sentinel figure standing watch over a city at golden hour

About

The heart behind the watch

The Vision

Sentinel was born from a simple conviction: there is a company of believers whom God is calling to the wall. They are sentinels that stand watch in prayer over their cities, their nations, and the body of Christ. Not as spectators, but as intercessors.

We believe the prayer of the Spirit — praying in tongues — is the foundation of intercession that goes beyond the limits of the mind. When we do not know what to pray, the Spirit Himself intercedes through us with groanings that words cannot express.

Sentinel exists to gather those who carry this burden and give them a place to pray together, live, in the presence of God.

Who Is Sentinel For?

Sentinel is for Christians of any denomination who pray in tongues and are hungry for a community that takes intercession seriously. But you do not need to have prayed in tongues before — we believe every believer can speak in tongues and we can help you step into it. If you are open to the Holy Spirit, open to the gift of tongues, open to being in a room where people pray in ways you may not be used to — you are welcome here.

What we ask is openness. Not performance, not experience, not a particular theological pedigree. Just a willingness to be present, to listen, and to let the Spirit lead.

If you have been praying alone and longing for others who carry the same fire — if you have felt the burden of intercession but had no community to hold it with you — Sentinel was built for you.

What a Live Session
Looks Like

Every Sentinel session follows an arc — from intercession with prayer points, and from intercession into listening. Here is how it unfolds:

  1. Intercession through prayer points in tongues (50 min). The heart of the session. We pray aloud, together, in tongues and in the Spirit. We always have prayer points that the leader brings to the group. Sometimes there is a specific focus — a nation, a situation, a burden shared in the WhatsApp Community. We follow where the Spirit leads in the moment. Everyone is encouraged to focus on the prayer point and pray in one accord.
  2. Listening. Everyone listens to the Lord and what they received during prayer — a scripture that came to mind, a picture or image, a word of knowledge, a sense or impression.
  3. Sharing. These impressions are shared humbly, openly, and without pressure. Not everyone will have something, and that is perfectly fine.
  4. Pastoral prophetic stewardship. Directional prophecy — words that speak to specific decisions, directions, or situations — is held by the group leader and shared if received. Prophetic words are weighed carefully, so that what is spoken builds up and does not wound.
